Are you feeling lucky? if not, try Feng Shui

One of the important things about home decor is a little something called, Feng Shui. Feng Shui brings luck. Basically it improves luck using home decoration as the basis. In other words it is supposed to bring good fortune to the residents of a house. For example, if you place red to the east of your house, your item luck will improve. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that this is all hogwash. In reality, there are more people who believe in this than you might think.

There are various rules of Feng Shui. You can remember the basic rules of feng shui with a rap that goes like this,

Yellow to the west makes your money luck the best.

Red to the east makes your item luck a beast.

Green to the south punches bad luck in the mouth!

Origins of Feng Shui

Feng Shui originated in the ancient Chinese civilization in 4000 BC. Actually, it was invented by the Neolithic Banpo people of northwest China. Surprisingly, evidence of the use of feng shui dates back six thousand years! Therefore it’s no surprise that researchers have found that feng shui is used most commonly in China, the country of its origin.

Ever since 4000 B.C., the practice of feng shui has started in China and has spread to parts of other countries such as northern Thailand, Vietnam, western Laos, parts of Malaysia and peninsular India, the islands of Java and Celebes in Indonesia, the regions of Sakha and Kaliningrad in Russia and parts of eastern Europe such as Belarus, Romania, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Eventually, it has spread to all parts of the globe. We see stores selling wares related to Feng Shui in every city.

Just a word of caution here. I hear that wrong Feng Shui can have a damaging effect. So, I would suggest that you make sure that you place the right things at the right place in your home. It’s always best to be sure. Should you try it? Of course, why not? You might actually get luckier!

Buy a Feng Shui object at your local store. Ask them how you should use it. They will be happy to tell you. Bring it home and place it as the store had instructed and wait ….. See how things go after a few weeks. Are things improving? If yes, great. If not, hey, you lost nothing. Even if you think luck is not improving, your Feng Shui artifact can be a talking point at house parties with friends and family. That can make you a popular person ….. leading to good luck …. 🙂
